Film Timestamp ("we", "our", or "the app") is an iOS application that lets you add classic film-style date and time stamps to photos on your device. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information when you use it.
We built Film Timestamp with privacy as a default, not an afterthought. The app is designed to work entirely on-device. No account is required, no data is sent to external servers, and no analytics are collected.
Film Timestamp does not collect, store, transmit, or share any of the following:
There are no user accounts, no login, and no backend infrastructure of any kind that processes your data.
The app requests the following iOS permissions. Each is used solely to provide core app functionality and for no other purpose.
All photo processing, timestamp rendering, and location lookups happen entirely on your iPhone using iOS system APIs. No data leaves your device at any point during the app's operation.
Film Timestamp does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or data collection services. Specifically, the app does not use:
The app is distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple may collect certain information as part of the App Store platform and iOS system. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for details on data Apple collects.
Film Timestamp is rated 4+ on the App Store. The app does not collect any personal information from any user, including children. Since no data is collected, the app fully complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and equivalent regulations.
Because Film Timestamp collects no user data and operates entirely on-device, there is no user data stored on any server that could be compromised in a breach. Your photos and location information remain under the control of your device and iOS at all times.
Saved photos are stored in your iOS Photo Library, which is protected by your device's built-in security, including Face ID, Touch ID, and device encryption.

Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. Given that the app collects no personal data, any future changes are expected to be minor clarifications only.
